If you’re a crafter, you could certainly spend a pleasant hour mixing and matching papers, embellishments, and stamped images until you come up with a serendipitous combination of colors and textures. Chances are you’ll whip up more than one design that would lend itself to a pretty card front or 3D project.
Today’s projects were the product of just such a process, and the results are fun, colorful, and easy to reproduce. All three cards feature the same parts, pieces, and colors, but with the adjustment of paper angles, card orientation, composition, and embellishments, each has a unique look.
Our concept artist used Highland Heather Simply Marbleous 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Designer Series Paper and Highland Heather Pastel Pearls because she loved the monochromatic blend. The pale lavender swirls allow the Pale Papaya and Polished Pink flowers to really pop!
For a final touch, she looped silver Simply Elegant Trim behind the flowers; the delicate, metallic twine adds lovely texture and interest—don’t you think?
What can you come up with using whatever bits and bobs you have on hand? You might be surprised by the results!
Just love to make greeting cards and other paper art and crafts! Having lots of fun, too much maybe? Teaching and inspiring others to be creative is my other love so here's my way to share!
