“The creative challenge is something the Concept Art team does for Stampin’ Up!’s monthly Better Your Best Day. We focus on different techniques or products to get our creative juices flowing and to help us think outside our comfort zones.
“We’ve posted some of our past challenges on social media, including fun projects like shaker cards and a color combo challenge.
“We are sharing the challenge this week to encourage you to create along with Concept Art during our monthly challenge and share your projects using #CreativeChallengeSU.
Are you ready to take the challenge? For the month of July, the Concept Art team issued a watercolor challenge! For the card featured here, our artist stamped the boat image with StāzOn ink on Shimmery White Cardstock and lightly water colored the image with Crumb Cake and Tahitian Tide ink. Once dry, she shaded the boat with the Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil, then used Balmy Blue and Pacific Point Watercolor Pencils to suggest the motion of the water around the edges of the boat. To finish, she ran the Water Painter brush over her work.
