Memory Keeping à la Mode

Have you ever tried making a mini album? Some enjoy creating them because they’re easy to dedicate to a single subject—like your favorite person, a trip, or as a grandparents gift! Plus, they’re adorable!

Our concept artist made today’s fun project using the Alphabet à la Mode Dies and Something Fancy Dies from the new January–April 2023 Mini Catalog, plus our new Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper (FREE with a qualifying purchase during Sale-A-Bration only until 2/28/23).

It’s fun getting creative with Designer Series Paper, dies, and punches to make something custom and very special. This mini album measures 4″ x 6″ (10.2 x 15.2 cm) and can be any height, depending on how many sheets of paper you use.

To create the album:

  • Cut the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper in half to 6″ x 12″ (15.2 x 30.5 cm) and score each piece at 4″ and 8″ (10.2 x 20.3 cm); then, glue them together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue using an accordion-style fold.
  • Stack the die-cut letters four high using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. This technique allows you to add dimension to the front of the book.
  • Use the Very Best Trio Punch to add binding holes to the accordion folds and give the album more of a ‘book look.’ Tip: Mark 1-1/2″ (3.8 cm) from the left and the right sides to know where to punch.

Such a beautiful project! Do you have great mini album ideas? Post them in my Facebook and Instagram pages @vandacreations love to see them.
