Creative Challenge

It’s February, the month of love! Show your love for someone you adore with a hand-made project—and you can even step it up and join our monthly challenge! This month, our challenge involves using ribbon in creative ways. As you step up to this month’s challenge, don’t be afraid let your imagination run wild—we love to see your unique style come through!

To make the box, cut Sweet Sorbet cardstock at 7″ x 7″ (18 x 18 cm), then score all four sides at 1-1/4″ (3.5 cm). Cut slits to create the box corners, then fold the paper and secure it with Stampin’ SEAL+. Then take some 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Designer Series Paper and score it at 3/4″ (1.9 cm) on all four sides. Again, cut slits at the corners and secure it together with Stampin’ SEAL+.

Next, take out your Love for You Stamp Set, some Sweet Sorbet ink, a strand of Natural Finish 7/8″ (2.2 cm) Ribbon, and Petal Pink 3/8″ (1 cm) Soft Polyester Ribbon. Stamp the heart image directly on the Natural Finish Ribbon and then stamp a sweet Valentine’s Day sentiment on our Petal Pink Ribbon. In order to keep the ink from smearing, leave both ribbons to dry for a few hours. Once the ink is completely dry, use the ribbons to tie a bow around the box, and add a few Heart Pearls to finish off this special Valentine’s Day giftbox.

This month, show your love for crafting by sharing your creations on social media. And don’t forget to use #CreativeChallengeSU so we can follow along!

Just love to make greeting cards and other paper art and crafts! Having lots of fun, too much maybe? Teaching and inspiring others to be creative is my other love so here's my way to share!
