No Line Coloring

This week we used the Framed Florets Bundle to CASE the technique of our Rainy Days card. This no-line coloring technique involves taking an image with light, almost invisible lines and coloring it with Stampin’ Blends, which gives the image a softer look. If you like what you see, feel free to CASE this technique in your own projects!

For our card, we began by stamping off the floral image in Crumb Cake ink. To stamp off, we stamped the image once, then, without using more ink, stamped the image again. This created an image with softer lines, which was perfect for this project. Next, we colored the flowers and leaves with Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. We used the light Blends first, let it dry, then added more color to create a medium tone between light and dark.

On our Designer Series Paper card base, we layered a panel using Vellum Basics. Then we die cut an oval frame piece from Vellum and adhered it to the card front with Multipurpose Glue. We used Mossy Meadow to die cut our main oval piece and adhered it with thin pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals to create depth. We adhered our colored flower images and a sentiment, and we finished the card with some Solid Faceted Gems in Blushing Bride, which matched our colorful Designer Series Paper.
