Creative Challenge – Color Combos

Every month we have a new challenge for you—a way to keep you on your toes and stretch your creative muscles. This month, our challenge involves using unique color combinations.

For our Thanks card, we combined Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, and Starry Sky. Even though this combination has darker, more masculine colors, we wanted to give our project a fun, funky feel. Instead of arranging the two hexagon sizes in a uniformed pattern, we put them on an angle and varied the arrangement of sizes and colors.

For our second card, we combined Balmy Blue, Calypso Coral, Old Olive, and Petal Pink. To make this card feel different, we die cut some Old Olive and Petal Pink 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Designer Series Paper to make our leaf and flower shapes. Then we added some Calypso Coral and Old Olive cardstock. We love the pattern that the Designer Series Paper added to the card.
