I’m showing the different designs I’ve created and handmade through the years. All made with 90% paper. I usually use Neenah paper, a favorite of mine. All needed permissions were acquired, but I don’t know who the photos were take by.
2018 My first year was at the Seawall ballroom in the Denver Performing Arts Center. There is a different theme each year this was inspiration of county and fashion designers, my choice was The Rolling Stones fashion designer of the jumpsuits that show skin and bright colors- Ossie Clark. I’ve had the same model over the years luckily for me, she is an absolute professional, Valencia Hill.
This is 2019, theme- flight without wings. I went for a hot air balloon with a steampunk style, along with a bussle on the back of the dress.
This is 2022, it was delayed by 2 years because of COVID. The model for this year is my daughter conveniently for me. Theme was chiaroscuro – the treatment of light and shade in drawing and painting,
