Creative Challenge

Another month, another creative challenge! This month, our challenge involves making cards with colors from our color refresh, which includes both returning and brand-new colors. We had fun completing this challenge by making different cards, each with a monochromatic color scheme. 

We centered our There’s No One Like You card around a brand-new color: Azure Afternoon. We layered a piece of Azure Afternoon-colored Designer Series Paper on Azure Afternoon Cardstock. Then we colored the bird image with Azure Afternoon ink using a Blender Pen and finished the card with a few embellishments from the Tinsel Gems Four-Pack. 

Berry Burst, a returning color, was the star of our Happy Birthday card. First we die cut some balloons in various sizes from different Berry Burst-colored Designer Series Paper. Then we adhered the balloons to a Basic White panel and adhered the panel to a Berry Burst card base. We finished the card with some Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels. 

For our Wishing You the Brightest Birthday card, we focused on a brand-new color: Lemon Lolly. We stamped and die cut a few daises from the Cheerful Daisies Bundle and added leaves stamped in Old Olive. We finished the card with Lemon Lolly 3/8″ (1 cm) Sheer Ribbon and some Lemon Lolly Adhesive-backed Solid Gems.
